Supported Accommodation
Cuan Mhuire centres welcome those who are homeless. To further meet the needs of those experiencing such circumstances, we have established a number of residential transition houses throughout the country. The purpose of the transition houses is to provide a “home from home” within a supported environment which encourages self-awareness, self-respect, self-esteem, a sense of responsibility and independence. Residents stay in these houses for 3 to 6 months during which time they are supported to secure their own accommodation and return to independent living. Where possible, the resident engages in training, education and /or employment while in the Transition House.
