Cuan Mhuire is Ireland’s largest provider of Residential Addiction Treatment Services.

Our programmes are of 12 weeks duration for alcohol and gambling addictions and 20 weeks for drug addiction.  Our Gambling Specific Programme runs at separate times enabling those who have both  substance and gambling addictions to participate in both programmes.

For alcohol and drug addiction, the residential programme starts with medically supervised detox, followed by a structured daily time table for the duration of the programme. The programme consists of:-

• Group Therapy (twice daily)
• Individual Counselling (at scheduled times
• Care Planning
• Therapeutic Duties aimed at helping each person develop a sense of responsibility, foster coping skills, develop new skills and to encourage reaching out to others, meditation and relaxation therapies, audio-visual presentations
• Alternative Therapies
• Personal Development
• Adult Education Classes – (Literacy Skills, Computers, Pottery, Horticulture, Arts & Crafts). Options may vary depending on availability.
• Attendance at AA/NA/GA
• Family Conferences
