Telephone  Assessment

A short telephone assessment is carried out to help us ascertain if our programme is suitable to meet the needs of the person seeking residential treatment. It also serves to provide the person seeking treatment with information about our treatment programmes as well as informing them of what they need to do prior to admission i.e. forward a referral letter, etc.  This process affords the person seeking treatment the opportunity to talk directly with a member of staff and ask any questions and alleviate any fears they may have about entering treatment.  At the end of the telephone assessment you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as a bed becomes available.

Pre-Admission Assessment

It is important that the person attending for assessment is accompanied by a family member or close friend. The assessment takes approximately one hour and begins with a urinalysis to give us an indication of the type of substance that has been consumed. Everyone presenting for admission undergoes a thorough pre-admission assessment.  Upon completion of the assessment the person seeking treatment will be asked to give consent for treatment and if offered a place, they will be asked to complete an Admission Contract.
