Cuan Mhuire Athy was the first Treatment Centre to be opened in 1966 by Sr Consilio Fitzgerald. Sr Consilio showed great vision all those years ago by providing residential, medically supervised detoxification and addiction treatment centres. It nestles in 40 acres of countryside.
In 2021, we proudly opened our dedicated women's addiction treatment centre in Athy, in response to the growing demand for support services. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where women can address the underlying causes of addiction and embark on a journey of healing and empowerment. The Sr. Consilio Centre stands as a place of hope and transformation, helping women rebuild their lives and rediscover their strength.
